new system questions

Hey guys,

So i just purchased a new Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP. I also purchased some Alpine SPX-177R components. Here is the problem , im stuck on which amp to buy next. I just got an email quote from Linear Power for a 2.2HV amp. From what i have read its a really nice amp. But i was also considering buying a brand new Alpine MRV-T420 for REALLY cheap. Do you guys think its worth spending almost $300 more for the LP or should i get the Alpine amp. Is the LP amp going to sound that much better? Im also worried that the Alpine will not work with the 6.5v pre-outs of the Premier.

I'd go with LP personally. Built like tanks, and will sound just as good 25 years from now as it does tommorrow. But, it's your money.

how cheap is really cheap. for $300 more than real cheap there is prob better

I can get the Alpine amp for $50 . The quote LP gave me was for $345 minus shipping. What other amps do you guys recommend to power my frontstage in the $300 price range ?
