New sub

Looking at getting a new sub and amp. Looking at either the Kicker Comp R 12 in Kicker ported box or Rockford Fosgate P3 in ported Fosgate box. Will be ran with Fosgate 500x1d amp. Which sub do you prefer and why? Not looking for all out SPL but more quality bass. Wide mix of music. Thanks in advance for the help.

Neither sub but the fosgate over the kicker. Kickers quality control is non existent these days

Kickers are garbage. I'd go with something from the Harman group, like an Infinity Kappa or JBL stadium series if you want a low powered sq oriented sub.
