Scouring and customizing brought me to this system plan and I am very happy with it. Doesn't include costs for box or shipping charges for the items but the total comes to $737 before those extra charges. I am happy with the plan. instead of 2 pairs of mids, I'd recommend you get a better set of mids up front. Seas and dayton drivers come to mind.

i redid the setup... only unsure thing is the crossovers need to secure some

upgrade your mids to Seas drivers. Unless those crossovers are better tuned for the mids/tweeters, lose them. At $100 for both, you're better off with an electronic crossover.

Or having custom ones made @ madisound.

also, at $250 for your sub.. I'd rather get a JL 12w6v2. I love mine; great SQ.

how are you getting a xxx15 for 250 and whats with the 03 model HU

i already bought the XXX for 250 i know a guy with 6 who was selling them. I like that HU and i am not looking to spend much.... i will be running an MP3 player into the deck for almost everything and have no desire to own an expensive player.

i'll look into the seas drivers... the silver flute seem to beat out everything else i can locate

not by a long shot. Dayton and seas drivers are considered the best drivers for the price out there right now, period. the RS line of dayton drivers and the CA18 seas drivers are very highly regarded right now.

Also, LPG makes a cheap tweeter, the nfa25 that's recieving some incredible reviews right now too.

Great setup, the only thing that comes to mind is that for $50 you can get an active crossover (the DEI highest Xover point is 500HZ) and you run the front stage active between the mid and tweeter and use the 600/4 instead.

Oustide of that, the system looks cool (the head unit and amps are a smoking deal).
