Hey guys I have about 500-1000 I want to spend to upgrade my system, I wanted some advice to what I should do, I want to do sql but still be loud for daily. What should I keep and change... I already have a deck. and I dont mind buying used so if you have anything post it here. I want to go to one 12" sub but dont know what I can get for my budget. Aswell I forsure wanted to change my rear deck speakers and possibly the door speakers.

Current System:

POWERBASS 1000.1

2 12" Alpine type 4 dual 4

FRONT - ALPINE TYPE S 6X9 Component door speakers

REAR - Pioneer 6 x 9's

Powerbass 600 x 4

Yellow top Optima battery

Pic of the car in question...

I was thinking on spending $200 for all 4 components or just the rear ones depending. but mainly looking for sq. And I want to have as much power as 2 12" type rs with one 12" but was also thinking of upgrading my sub amp but I dont know if this is to much to ask for a small budget

Your front components, are most important as far as sound quality. I would upgrade front speakers to 6 1/2" components. Rear speakers usually ruin sq more than help it, but they will make it louder.

So if what would you reccomend for a good sq front 6 1/2 component.

Aswell what would work with my amp should i get an identical one and run 2 or sell them and put the money towards the new subs?

I do not know much about the equipment your running. I would like into Hybrid Audio Technologies, Dynaudio, Morel, or CDT, just to name a few companies. Get the proper amp to power them. If you run much more power for your substage, you might be looking at possibly doing electrical upgrades such as an alternator and/or second battery.

I'd take out the pioneer 6x9's and move the type s comps to the rear. Then buy type r 6.5's comps for the front, keep amp. I don't know if you'd notice much difference but I like my int speakers to all be the same brand if I can help it.

Or take out the front S's and get a set of pioneer 6.5" comps for the front(If they even make a good set nowadays)
