New Set-Up What do you think

wow, looks a lot better already, man. And just let me tell you one thing, kudos for actually listening. Most people that come on here with an install like yours get very offended when we tell them whats wrong and they will sit there and ***** at us until they are blue in the face. You took our (my) advice like a man and fixed the stuff I said was wrong.
Was going to say something quite similar to this... I was very shocked to see OP come and say "they aren't flaming they're giving advice, and here I fixed what you told me to" that to me says "I'm willing to learn if I have someone to teach me" and that's what forums are for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My advice, other than saving up and getting different equipment when you can lol..

First, look into the BIG 3, and do it.

Run some quality 4 gauge wire to the back, this wiring kit would do the job

Car Audio Wire

If you need to save some money, this kit would work as well

Car Audio Wire

Then pick up one of these and put it where your cap is

SHURiKEN SK-BT35 (skbt35) - Batteries and Battery Isolators - Sonic Electronix

Use these to connect power wire to front battery, rear battery, and connect grounds to rear battery, etc..

Scosche ERTC0-2 (ertc02) - Ring Terminals - Sonic Electronix

Use these to run wires from the Kinetik to the amp

Scosche EBS4-4 (ebs44) - Spade Terminals - Sonic Electronix

Would make every electrical component of your car and system happier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I don't really see why every noob's excuse on here for why they don't have nice stuff is that they work part-time and make minimum wage; I did, saved up my money and have a really nice set up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Seriously. My first set up was a 12" Type-R from craigslist for $80, an MRP-M650 off craigslist for $120, 4ga wires, and a 2.0 ft^3 box tuned to 32hz that I built myself. I figure the month it took to save up $200 bucks working at minimum wage was worth it.

But definitely kudos for being receptive to our suggestions; that is very respectable, and I commend you for listening. Welcome to CA, where haters run rampant, and trolls have *** with your sister.

I can't lie, I ran a bunch of stuff I got for free as well. But then joined this site, started learning and saving, and ended up changing EVERY piece of equipment I owned in less than a year after I joined this site.

Daily, nightly, and ever-so-rightly!

To me I dont think they are flaming me. they are trying to help me. Flaming would be WTF man your system is SHIT
In regards to my stuff being low end, I for one konew it is but it was all free. you cant ***** when you get a system for free.

i dont have a lot of money to work with lets just leave it at I work a McDonalds.

If you have a second battery for you system how does it get charged, remember im new to car audio.

I spent sometime fixing the things bubbagumper6 pointed out let me know what you think.

Im still working on it all I will keep posting pics.

Also I have a old Kicker ZR-600 (better or worse)

I just need to find a crossover card for it
I officially like you (in a non-gay sort of way). You listened to people, you didnt get all pissy at the negative comments, and you even worked at fixing the problems. I hope you stick around this forum long enough that we can turn you into the hyper-sensitive overly-defensive type that the rest of us have become here.

Thanks for all the help. Im going to starting upgrading my system on piece at a time, for now im going to start with the wires then move to the subs, amp, and box.

I ditched the cap for now. now for the big question.

A new listen of car audio equipment. I would like to keep it under $500.

Is that $500 just for a new sub, amp, box, and wiring? Or did you want that to include new speakers for the front and head unit as well?

I think I will just upgrade the subs, amp, wire and box for now then work on the head unit and speakers.
try a different box before changing subs, nothing wrong with those kenwoods... certainly better can be had but I mean.. you do already own the subs and a good box can make a world of difference.

Just my suggestion.

Thought I would post what my set-up. Before "flaming" me please keep in mind I am new to car audio.

AMP- PYLE PLA2378 2 Channel 2000 (will be replacing my chepo sony xplod amp when it gets here in the mail)

Head Unit- Sony Xplod CDX-GT24W

I will post a video as soon as it gets done uploading.

Feel free to post your thought
Here comes the flame!!! Throw all that shit in the trash!!! LOL. I'm surprised nobody called him on using a vaccum cleaner cord for the right channel. Look closely its a boombox cord or a vaccum cleaner cord with the plugs cut off. (i have done this too , but i still have to laugh)

This. Build a nice box for two 12's, and then you can put different subs in it down the road.
