Ive decided to just go with 1 amp(Power Accoustics LT480-2 ) for now. It is going to be for my 10' sub. Im going to run a 5 gauge wire from battery. I bought a wiring kit from WalMart that has a in-line fuse. The fuse says "100A" on it and my Power Accoustic manual says Quote "For safety measures, install an in-line fuse holder as close to the battery positive (+) terminal as possible with an ampere rating; not to exceed total value of fuses in amp" ..... OK so if "fuses in amp" are the 2 fuses stickin out the side of my amp then i guess i need a 30A ??is that correct cause i have two 15 fuses stickin out the amp.?? (whats the A ? and is there a B ? )
Aight 2nd ..... im going to just use my Pioneer DEHP 2700 for my 4 door speakers for now..... if i cut all the lows to my door speakers using my HU and ive got my sub runnin off my HU rca outputs will it also cut the lows to my subwoofer????
Aight 3rd.... My amp has a few knobs i dont quite get (even after reading)
A. there is a "Sub Sonic" knob that has a range of 30Hz - 175Hz
B. there is a "bass EQ" knob that has a range of 0dB - 24dB
C. there is a " X-OVER" switch that has 3 choices : HPF , FULL , LPF
D. there is a "HPF" knob with a range of 50 Hz - 500Hz
E. there is a "LPF" knob with a range of 30HZ - 500Hz
I am going to use this amp for a 10' sub......
If anyone wants to tell me where "they" would turn all these knobs to for optimal sound...It would be MUCH APPRECIATED !!!!!!
4th - oh yea & when i go to install all this..do i pull the negative wire off the battery 1st and then pull off the positive??? or do i have no clue ???
5th - and can i mount my amp to my sub box or is that too much vibration ?
