New Install Subs keep throwing amp into protection mode. PLEASE HELP!

I've just installed 2 10" Kicker Sub and all new door speakers into my truck. The front speakers are ran off a separate amp (which is working fine). The rear speakers and subs are ran off a 1600watt 4 channel amp. I've got the two rear speakers bridged and ran into the amp and they are working fine. Now to the problem, I have my 2 10" Subs that are bridged and plugged into the amp, and as soon as I go to put some power to them, they throw the amp into protecion mode. I can adjust the rear speakers as loud as I want, as soon as I get some thump into my subs its cuts off. I've sanded the ground down to the bare metal, so I know that's not the problem. I can start to get some power to the subs when its on HPF, as soon as I switch it to full or low, it cuts off. I've installed a few systems, but by far am no pro. The head unit is an eclilpse avn6620. I've got all the preouts and settings on 0, and still can't get this going. Please give me any suggestions, thanks alot.

subs are wired at an ohm load that the amp cant handle
My thought exactly.

What amp are you using (Exact model #)

What subs are you using (Exact model #)

Did you also say that your subs and rear speakers are being run off of the same amp?

Whenever yall get around to replying... If that's the problem, and mine are 2 ohm, would it be worth sending them back and getting the 4ohm version, or is there not going to be a difference? Once again, I appreciate your help

You should run your rear speakers stereo and the subs stereo man! Your subs are dual 2ohm you should series each one up to 4 ohm and run those stereo and Low Pass. 63hz 12db is a good crossover point for your subs. If you got dual 4 ohm subs you could series the subs to 8ohm and parallel them together to 4ohm bridged on your amp.

Yeah, you certainly have a crappy amplifier, this is the specs that I found on the amp:

Amplifier Class N/A

Number of Channels 4

RMS Power (4 ohms) 75 watts x 4 channels

RMS Power (2 ohms) 100 watts x 4 channels

RMS Power (1 ohm) Not Stable

Bridged RMS Power 200 watts x 2 channels

Total RMS Power Output 400 watts

Peak Power Output 1600 watts

Total Peak Power Output N/A

Maximum Input Gauge Size 8

Minimum Impedance Unbridged 2 ohms

Minimum Impedance Bridged 4 Ohms

I don't know what to tell you besides to stop bridging the subs, and run one sub off of one channel. You should really look into getting a 5 channel amplifier. Many can be found on this very forum for around $250^

Yeah the amp is pretty shitty but it gets the job done... I undid the bridge and ran them to the amp and that fixed the problem. I've got it maxed out as far as the bass boost and level go to get the sound I want, sounds distorted to me. I'm in a F350 super crew so it's a small box, not sure if it's that or the amp possibly. I'm used to my 2 12 solo barics in a box that takes up the whole trunk. Thanks for all your help guys.
