Speakers and/or head unit not working properly (wiring issue?)

I just installed a kenwood kdc-mp642u head unit and two clarion 6.5" speakers in the doors of a 99 GMC Suburban. When I play the radio everything works perfectly, but when I switch the head unit to play a CD or from the USB there is no sound coming from the door speakers. I used a harness bought from Fry's Electronics and matched all the colors exactly to the wires from the head unit to the harness.

you connected the solid blue wire on the deck harness to the solid blue on the cars harness.

what you wanna do instead is connect the white/blue on the deck harness to the solid blue on car harness.

bam. works.
