New Hifonics

if you want me to stamp gauranteed on a box of crap I will, if not dont buy new Hifonics

I don't run one and if I could get a decent deal on one I would run it they arent the best but they aren't the shittiest //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Not trying to split hairs, but the OP/thread was about the Brutus line of amps. None of which are on this impressive list of wins. Just making the point;)
he said hifonics brand was swap meet junk, I was disproving that theory. with proof that anyone can go find at any of the competition websites. usaci iasca ect...

and fyi the crunch line is 1 step below the zeus / brutus line in maxxsonics products list. and several of the wins were using crunch products. that 10 years ago were junk until maxxsonics bought the company and revived it.

lemme know what model you want i am a wholesaler for maxxsonics products. full factory warranty.

I know places in downtown LA where I could get Hifonics amps for a dime a dozen. When is the last time you heard of someone running the newer Hifonics swap meet stuff for 5+ years? Now the ZED made versions, people are still running those to this day.

HIFONICS AMPS ARE SHORT TERM SOLUTIONS TO LONG TERM PROBLEMS WHEN IT COMES TO BUYING TRUE HIGH QUALITY CAR AUDIO EQUIPMENT. JUNK. HIFONICS IS GOOD FOR AN 18 YEAR OLD STARTING OUT IN CAR AUDIO. THE XX LINE I WILL GIVE THEM THEIR PROPS. THE REST IS SWAP MEET. THEIR LOWER END STUFF REMINDS ME OF TARGA, PYRAMID, JENSEN, ETC.

They are one of the best selling companies out there and at the swap meet where they sell hifonics they also have kicker,jl audio, and rockford fosgate.....but hey you know everything chode......
Fosgate amps and others you hear about people running them in their vehicles for 10+ years.

you know nothing!go blow fosgate and do your homework!

in the past i replaced fosgate amps with crunch and lanzar and was way happier with more money in my pocket

Let me clarify something. I was wrong to compare Hifonics to Targa and Pyramid or even Kole Audio. I know shops that carry Hifonics the Brutus and Zeus lines and I have seen 1000 watt Kicker, Fosgate or Jl Audio amps consistenly outperform the Hifonics 1608, 2008, 2608 amps. That tells me something. While Hifonics isn't that bad, for the money there is much better out there and you won't see people running those same amps 10+ years down the line because they are not those type of amps. They are good low budget, decent power for people starting out in car audio. The XX line is top notch and deservingly so. They are built to last and are very very well made.

The Hifonics name was built by Steven Mantz (ZED Audio) not Maxxsonics.

wow the "swap meet" junk as you call it sure has broke a shitload of world records idiot.
research before you talk dude. they are not the greatest thing made but for the pricepoint they are twice what anything else is.

[Visit the Team Maxxsonics web site]

As the 2007 competition season has recently come to an end, Team Maxxsonics closes out another successful year in style. Incredible teamwork, good sportsmanship and sacrifice paid off as Team Maxxsonics has once again proven that they are the most dominant car audio team in the industry!

2007 achievements are as follows:

9 World Records

5 US Records

26 State Records

257 1st place trophies

97 2nd place trophies

51 3rd place trophies

Note worthy are the accomplishments of the following Team Maxxsonics members:

Eric Alexander of Livewire Electronics in Columbus, Ohio, veteran competitor and 14 time World Finalist in dB Drag and MECA, amazed the crowd at MECA World Finals during his record setting Drive-By runs. Eric put up an incredible 136.7dB. This is 3.5dB over the previous record! Not only did Eric do this once, but he honored the crowd with a second run and was over 137dB before his windshield broke from the pressure. Eric was awarded the SPL Best of Show trophy, World Championship in Modex 3 for his score of 162.5dB, World Championship in DB5 and winner of the prestigious Alma Gates Cup for loudest Drive-By score at World Finals. Eric’s entertained spectators, set World Records, and won World Championships in his Chevy Astro using 12 Hifonics Olympus 2412 subwoofers and 6 Crunch GP3000D-Pro amplifiers.

Ana Flowers of Sound Solutions in Sparks, Nevada, 3 time dB Drag World Finalist, finally got her well deserved time in the spotlight as she put up an incredible score of 156.8dB and winning the United States Championship in dB Drag Racings’ Street A class. This phenomenal score was achieved in a stock vehicle using a single battery, 2-10” subwoofers and 2 Hifonics XXV Sampsons!

· Terry Brocks of Suitland, Maryland, 7 time dB Drag World Finalist, accomplished an incredible feat in 2007 when he set the highest certified SPL in Street A, Street B and Street C using Hifonics amplifiers. Never before has a single competitor had the highest certified number in all three Street classes! Brocks also raised the bar by pumping out an amazing 157.9dB and Winning the NSPL No Wall 0-24 World Title using only 2-10” subwoofers, 2 batteries and 2 Hifonics XX Goliaths.

Jay Thomson of Toledo, Ohio, 3 time dB Drag World Finalist, became the 1st annual Maxxsonics points champion with 490 points. Jay attended more events than any other Team Maxxsonics member and held 5 USACi State Records as well as having the highest certified Street Max 1-2 score in the United States.

I always gave props to the XX line of Hifonics. The Brutus line like another member stated isn't on this list. The XX line, I bow to them. Not the Brutus or Zeus lines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

So you've seen a 1kw amp outperform a 2.5kw amp? Please tell me you're joking. While I agree that Hifonics Brutus amps are nothing special, to say that an amp rated at less than half of the Brutus will "consistently outperform" it is ridiculous.
