Opinions needed

Currently own a US Amps md41, was thinking of getting the Alpine PDX 4:100, to replace it ... What do you all think ? would you do it or not ?

The Sundown 100.4 is around the same price.

Sundown > Alpine IMO.

The new Alpine amps are extremely nice, id go for it. A friend of mine runs that exact amp and will be my next choice for a 4 channel.

 

Then again US AMPS does make sum great amps(i used to run 2 MD2Ds). I don't think u can go wrong either way.

 

 

Hahaha i like how every amp thread turns into Sundown is better. D*mn nut riders, he didn't even ask about Sundown. Don't get me wrong they make good amps, but u guys ask as though they are the end all of amps.

 

Im sure that you've tested the 100.4 against the Alpine to make that intelligent judgement of yours?

Over the US Amps ? I have not hooked anything up yet ..

The US Amps is .

4 x 60W @ 4 ohms

4 x 80W @ 2 ohms

2 x 160W @ 4 ohms bridged (THD:

Fuse: 2 x 25A

and the Alpine is :

# 4-channel car amplifier

# 100 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (100 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms)

# 200 watts RMS x 2 in bridged mode (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)

# CEA-2006 compliant

I Like the alpine however i don't know if its worth the extra $$ .. i am not looking for the neighbors down the street to hear me .. just want good clean sound ...

Yes I do own both, and I like the Sundown better. I have never bench tested them or anything like that though.

The PDX amps are notorious for lacking uummpphh.

Both are reputible companies....

If you are happy with your sound now...stick with what you have...
