I just got mine in the mail and one thing i did notice was that on the sides, is plastic. All other models are metal. Its right where you screw it in. Whatever, i'm happy with it.

Just wanted to see what other people thought of this. Probably just as strong...

It would seem as though they made them less expensive on the outside to put more into the inside:

We removed the chrome and additional 9 LED's and put the money in a new glass pcb, upgraded the the Driver board and better output devices.
This will even further improve the efficiency, reduce heat and extend the life of the amp.

The amp was a huge sucess at CES and they are currently in stock and shipping.

The new GP were also a big hit and got the same upgrades (yes, the new GP3000.1D-Pro has more power).
Thanks for asking.
The BXi2610D is the biggest amp in Brutus at this time.

It is 2600 - 2680 watts RMS tested on an Audio Precision II at 1-Ohm, 14.4v, 60Hz and 1%THD & N.

All of the Brutus amps have changed from 08 to 10 on the last two numbers in the model number.
I would still like to see someone other than Maxxsonics post some bench numbers on the BXi XX10 series though.

Hifonics is known for being a cheap budget amplifier so that doesn't surprise me. You get what you pay for.
Great another dummy who has to talk shit about Hifonics.

I have had almost every Maxxsonics product, from the cheap lines of Autotek, to the mean machines and had a MB Quart and now the Hifonics 2608d, without one problem ever and some might not do rater power, but for the price point, the do just fine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

With the exception of the XX line, Hifonics is a swap meet brand. Look on EBAY you can find them a dime a dozen. They have never been the same since ZED audio left the company.

There are a whole bunch of dummies that believe the same thing about Hifonics.

Not trying to split hairs, but the OP/thread was about the Brutus line of amps. None of which are on this impressive list of wins. Just making the point;)
