if u helped build a 160db system, i dont think u would need our help to set up 2 15s on a lil amount of power in a sealed box.

i love a challenge... i do have some experience. im not sure if your familiar with team jbl??? i helped build damon mletzko's car 3 gti 10's, and a 6000crown 2 sattelite batts, 160plus db. just the construction though..yes a huge wall(as a helper). If i can figure out a way to tune the box right and run ported believe me i will, Ports have always made higher numbers from what ive seen. but i only have a center console access to my trunk from the cabin. a hole aprox 12x6 so it would have to be a centered port directly in that hole. which i dont know if thats big enough..btw I hit a 143 in my old honda crx in the hatch with 2 SONY XPLODE 15'S and an old 800 watt punch amp..... home built box all welding wire and spray foamed.ill take you up on your challenge and i bet if anything i should be up to 145now, if i doubled my power i would blow my subs.... seeing as m3154d are only 400watts rms each...... and that wouldent be to smart eh??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

I fail to see how the numbers with the sonys are impressive. For one it is a CRX, not to mention sheer cone area of two 15's.

If you "think" you're in the 145db range why are you asking if we think you will be? M3's can take a beating, a smart and careful user could run 1k on each and they'd be fine for a while.

I've put 800 watts (rms keep in mind) to power references before and still had them live after beating on them and they're rated at 250 watts rms.

I'm just saying your goals aren't very realistic with your experience level and a trunk car.

Dude i was like 16 and just helped,like i said i have a "little" experience but I am asking you guys which most of you are self proclaimed pro's so i take what i can get and am thankfull for the input, constructive critisism is always a good thing. I am in NO way bragging about my sony xplodes ...haha the car and system was a joke but, I was just asking what you pro's think about the numbers because most of you know allot more than I do. Also if you could explain to me how i should wire and tune these subs that would be awesome I just dont want to blow them after a few burps... Also, like everyone is saying i would like to go ported with smaller speakers but truthfully (and i know i shouldent compete if i have no money) but i really dont have much to spend on new equipment due to my recent job layoff, so I would have to find a way to barter with someone for 2 good 10's or 1 er 2 good 12's. I think i can only get about 300 for my subs now which isnt much. So, that being said where should I go from here??? Thanks guys!

I just posted them up for sale on my local craigslist so I can try to get some smaller subs or "SUB", wish me luck haha
