New guy needs advice

Hey all, I am looking to build a system for my 03 wrx, the equipment i currently have is an Orion xtr900, a memphis st1000d, 2 m3154d 15's, with a Pioneer DEH-P7200 Head Unit , I am looking at going sealed in the trunk. from your guys experience do you think ill be up to the 145-150db range?? also what type of wiring/fuses/batteries should I be running?? I was told i need to get the amp tuned and i dont know much about that or about how many hz i should have/ or how to check that. Any help or advice would be greatly apreciated.

might be able to pull a 145 but i dont see a 150 coming out of that not in a trunkl atleast.Are you coming to the show on the 22nd? they're will be several people there that can help ya out.If i was you i would go with 12's or 10's for a trunk set up.Is this for SPL or street beat?

I don't picture a 145 being to likely in a trunk with 1000rms and a sealed box. Go ported and maybe...

Ok, first off stop bumping your post every 10-15 minutes, you will not get replies faster.

Second I highly doubt you have the knowledge to break 150 in a trunk car even if you doubled your power.Honestly, with 1k and a sealed box don't expect more than a 140-142.

i love a challenge... i do have some experience. im not sure if your familiar with team jbl??? i helped build damon mletzko's car 3 gti 10's, and a 6000crown 2 sattelite batts, 160plus db. just the construction though..yes a huge wall(as a helper). If i can figure out a way to tune the box right and run ported believe me i will, Ports have always made higher numbers from what ive seen. but i only have a center console access to my trunk from the cabin. a hole aprox 12x6 so it would have to be a centered port directly in that hole. which i dont know if thats big enough..btw I hit a 143 in my old honda crx in the hatch with 2 SONY XPLODE 15'S and an old 800 watt punch amp..... home built box all welding wire and spray foamed.ill take you up on your challenge and i bet if anything i should be up to 145now, if i doubled my power i would blow my subs.... seeing as m3154d are only 400watts rms each...... and that wouldent be to smart eh??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Why would someone take a performance car like a WRX and add the weight of two 15s to it?

/shrug. I hit about the same with 2 of powerbasses cheapest 250 watt 12's in a pre-fab and an old kenwood 850 watt amp in the trunk.

Better quality subs, also go ported with 10''s or 12''s. To simplify, sell the 15''s. Also, look at AQ, they have some nice stuff at great prices.

A pair of dd9510s with a metric assload of power should do it

yeah..maybe ill se if someone wants to trade for 2 decent 10's or a real nice 12 like a jbl power series or get a gti.... I love the concept of running 15 4 inch subs too..... i just have this equipment ya know....workin wit what i got for now i just got laid off 3 weeks ago so that sux..
