I'm looking at getting a DVD player installed into my car and I was thinking of adding a modest sound system as well. I'm hoping to learn enough on this and the wiring forum so that I'll only need the DVD player installed by someone else. Any how I'm thinking of a an angled partitioned(the partitions will make each speaker in the box isolated from each other air flow wise, I hope) box that tucks right up to the front of the trunk and faces through the back seats. Thinkin' of two 6"X8" speakers and a 10" sub. The dimensions of my trunk are 36" wide and 18" tall. And some pics to get the idea:

thanks for all imput

I'm looking more at the sound quality, not really a bass kinda guy. those cars that drive up and vibrate the crap outta my car annoy me. also I'm just lookin' at a very modest system I won't be the one watching DVDs I'm the driver and if it was up to me the only music would be the sound of the engine. anyhow it's for backseat entertainment on summer trips, nothing special or fancy, just that half the speakers in the car are toast so I'm thinking upgrade before May. not really sure what stuff costs either I've only been able to find futureshop/best buy and A&B sound websites
