NEw form of Car PC

if those had atleast 2ghz, and 1gb of ram, they'd be off the hook. i refuse to use a computer with less than 2gb of ram, much less 512. eeek //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Still off the chain though. insane price as well.

i priced a 2.6ghz 2gb ram carputer with screen would be around 1k.
You don't need such a beefy computer in the car.

My 1ghz processor with 512 ram runs fine & dandy:veryhapp:

I need at least 2GHz of RAM and dual Xeon processors for my carputer because I edit multiple movies at the same time while driving.

Couple questions if you don't mind. 1. where is the best place to get low cost carpcs? I don't need much power or ram. I just want it to be able to play good audio. Also, I have a clarion 935vd with the hideaway brain and a symmetry. What would be the easiest way to connect a car pc? Use all RCA? Is that possible to go from VGA to rca? Or how is that done?

As for the carputer if u really want to go cheap just build ur own computer and stick it in the car with a Power invertor for the power supply.

U can always get a video card that has a video out port (yellow RCA cable) than use a 3.5mm speaker cable to RCA for the audio.

Lets say I'm not being a cheap a$$ (which I kinda am LOL) what would be the "right" way to do it? I was reading on mp3car.com and some of the people on there make it sound like I can't install a carpc with my clarion deck. Although I do have a section just for visual and my pre-amp has plenty of open inputs. I can't see why I couldn't.

Anyone hooked a pc into the clarion 935?
