new comps need advice on a decent set

i recently tried the pg rsd65cs and those **** i had rainbow slc 265 kicks before those and i loved those. Now i need advice on a new set was thinking about the the slc 265.25. They will be going in a honda civic with q logic kick panels. the amp pushing them is a alpine mrv f345 (75w x 4). I dont like harsh sounding tweets either. thanks for the advice. Could do a 3 way set and mount the 6.5 in the door?

What didn't you like about the RSD's? Mine sound great, respond very well without any distortion at high volume. They also have a nice solid mid bass punch and the tweeters are far from harsh. I have noticed over the last 2 weeks though that the tweets have gotten smoother and the mid bass has more punch after a setting change, I guess they are broke in now.

Yes I was compairing them to rainbows and just becuase something gets loud with out distorting doesnt make them a good set. I listen to all kinds of music and i was always having to tune them to fit the music. Not only that they are cheaply made. Take a look at the crossovers and compair them to some other set sometime. Anywho im not trying to give another reveiw. I was just stating my oppinion. back to the topic at hand

Look into Image Dynamics CTX line or Hertz Energy line both are great sounding speaker sets. Morel also has some great speaks.

they kicks arent sealed either so they would have to play well in a vented environment. Also what size should i go with 5.25 or 6.5 how are the bostons? do rainbows liked to be sealed. Im leaning toward the rainbow set does anybody know the actually real diffence between the slc 265.25 ng and the slc 265.25 kick ng is it worth the extra money?

I have Image Dynamics CSX 64 in coaxial style in my civic coupe, they sound awesome I'd recommend them.
