new car

If you're going Volvo, make sure it's an older one, definitely before 2000.
We've had problem and problem with our '03 V70...I love the way that car handles, but there always seems to be something going. Front torsion bars, electrical quirks, that sort of thing. I think the quality has gone downhill.

... that's because you bought a Ford. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I forget the exact date, but if a Volvo is FWD, it means it was made after Ford bought Volvo's. The older RWD Volvo's are REAL Volvo's, and last just fine... Hell, mine is a '94, runs great, **** fast too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Naa, see what people dont understand with Volvo is that Ford didnt exactly change the Volvo sedans at first. Ford bought Volvos trucking company first.. Started there.

The RWD Volvos namely the stoner driver 740 and 240.. Nice cars..

Now that Volvo has a v8 out it is only time before they throw that in a sedan with a biturbo.. ****... Shit will fly too..

Hell a 1995 Volvo T5-R could outrun a 02' WS6 from a 20 roll.. That says something there..

We had an S70 for about three months, but never had any problems with it - except this: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/7411272/ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

That's what an F1 tornado and an oak tree will do. Pretty amazing that it came out as well as it did, though - that tree was a big 'un //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I bought an Infiniti J30 last year for $5700, 110k miles, the thing is plush as hell and it runs like a champ. You could get a maxima for around what you're looking to spend. It'd have to be a little older but you could find one with fewer than 100k miles plus you'd have a sweet v6 and a very reliable car, and it'd still be cheaper than a comparable accord or camry. Of course I really like Japanese cars, and if you're looking for American I don't know what to tell you.

yeah, im looking into the accord/civic/ they get good gas milage which is nice compared to my current 17mpg avg. Might try t ofind something a little bigger than the civic. a 94/95 one is just tiny.

And yeah, i think some of the older volvos are solid. friend has a late 80's one with 250k on it. orig engine and everything
