If you're going Volvo, make sure it's an older one, definitely before 2000.
We've had problem and problem with our '03 V70...I love the way that car handles, but there always seems to be something going. Front torsion bars, electrical quirks, that sort of thing. I think the quality has gone downhill.

The older RWD Volvo's are REAL Volvo's, and last just fine...
