new car?

Do you only buy things because your favorite actor or athlete buys them? Is that your reasoning for making purchases? If it's not, why assume that is why everybody else buys things for this reason. Terrible, terrible, logic.
Look at the outburst of Cadillac Escalades, and tell me Cadillac's marketing wasn't based on celebrity advertisements? What purpose do SUV's serve? What can they do that other cars can't? Only answer I can think of is off-road capabilities, and 98% of SUV owners don't utilize it. Only people I see driving SUV's are soccer moms, people that can't fit into smaller cars, and other various typical Americans who want to show up their neighbors that also own SUV's..

It isn't till recently that American's realized the complete absurdness of SUV's because of gas prices. They realized that they're good for nothing cars that are slow, can't handle worth shit, and kills the environment. It's no wonder car dealerships are redefining the term SUV as SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) just to help out their piss poor sales of SUV's...

i cant speak for the Lancer OZ cause ima honda guy at heartbut just comparing stock numbers the Type-S will definatly come out on top..

06 Lancer OZ Rally SOHC 120hp at the crank

06 RSX-S DOHC 200hp at the crank

whats your budget?

if you can find some cheap civic hatchbacks, integras, or the 3rd and 4th gen accord.. and still have enough left over for a swap, that would be a nice option

but there are alot of other nice used cars you can get.. it just depends on how much youve got to spend
i can spend in the 7000 - 8000 dollar range, its my first upgrade for a car from the piece of shit my parents let me drive for 2 years.

my dad has a big problem with kids and fast cars though, he says theres not need or reason for a kid to have such a fast car.

what do you mean do a swap. are you talkin about a new engine or what?

Have you considered the Mazda3? Great gas mileage, and from what I've heard, they drive great.I also took an 06 chevy HHR to D.C. and it is a great car. I got around 34mpg highway, and it as a buttload of room! Handles like a champ as well, IMO.
If your talking about the 2.3 Mazda then I say good choice. I have a 2006 Ford Focus St and has the same eng. Shit gets up and goes and drives fantastic. Kinda sucks in rain/snow, but probably because it has so much torque. I get 24/32 in gas mileage. (Well more around 20/28, due to me driving hard sometimes) Car is a 5- speed and is 151 hp from factory and keeps up with a lot of newer cars. Shit is faster than my buddies 220 hp Pontiac Grand Prix GT. These things get up and go and are a sleeper. I have done some mild mods like intake, exhaust and little things here and there and I am right about 180 hp now. They go for about 175000 brand new and come in a few styles. I dont know your budget, but could pick up an 05 for probably a good price. These are the cars that discontinued the SVT if I am not mistaken. I recommend it. Is a sedan, but a fast one at that and I have surprised many people not to mention piss off some peeps, lol!

I never said anything against your other statements because I don't give a ****. However, you somehow managed to avoid the statement I did made and ran off into random about some other point I don't care about. Care to answer my question?

Like a 96-2000 Civic, swapped to a LS or GSR, that would be sweet.
i just looked at some on autotrader, i really like them and they have a really resonable price for some of them.

they only have 125hp though. how hard and expensive would it be to to raise a cars hours power by 50

is there a forum just on performance cars like there is for audio. some where that i could get more help on this subject?
