New car - need new system (HELP)

My budget is about $850 (maybe a little more) for subs, box, and amp

Jeep was sold, memphis 15's and directed amp are sold - picked up my 97 infinity i30 yesterday.

This is where my problem comes in. I've only got 14-14 1/2" of height in my trunk for a box so im going to have to go with 12's. I have no where to get a box locally thats not like $200 so I'm going to have to order a pre fab box. The kicker cvx's/l7's im looking at need too big of boxes to sound decent. The best ported box ive found for those is 2.35ish cubes.

Trunk dimensions - 14-14 1/2" H , 44" w, 39" D

What would yo recommend SQL wise. I will most likely be powering my subs with a crossfire vr2000d (leaving my budget to 400-450 for subs and box)

Thanks

Well in that price range I would say 2 Fi Q's would be right there. What kind of truck is this? A single cab truck? Anyway if you go sealed they call for 0.8-1.5 sealed and 2.3-2.5@32hz for ported if I am not mistaken. They sound great and are very musical. These are more sq oriented, but still get very loud as well. If you want more sql and still sound good then check into the mags. A nice 12 mag from SI might do the trick.

Just reread that. So all you have to play with is 2.3cft? If so then the one mag might suffice.

He got an Infiniti .. he had a typo it was TRUNK not TRUCK ..=)

So you cant build a box or have someone build it for you?

Because that amp and a single 15" Mag firing upwards would probably work :)

And sound incredible

If you want pure loudness the CVX's would probably be a decent choice, keep in mind that the trunk on that car is going to rattle it's nuts off
