Ok, I live about 30 miles South of Memphis Tenn, and the laws changed up there and where I live, if your car stereo can be heard more than 50 Ft. away then you get a 50$ fine, i personally have a friend who could of purchased a couple of nice subs instead of paying the fines, (already been fined 600$) do yalls think that this is a really stupid thing...??

I think it's pretty stupid. $50 is too low.

Maybe if it was $100, your moronic friend would have learned to obey the law after the first time, not the 12th time. It's people like your "friend" there that are responsible for the laws and the growing hate against this sport.

$50 and 50 feet is not something to complain about.

i'll let my shyt rattle in a neighborhood if its like noon to like 7:00 or something cuz no one will be asleep.

Well.....My mother who has cancer is sleeping in that time frame because her chemo medication makes her weak and constantly fatigued. Both of my children are alseep at some point within that time frame (and you don't want to deal with a crabby 6 month old that was woken up against his will). Someone working 3rd shift is asleep within that time frame. My grandparents take a nap within that time frame because they are older and tire easily. Shall I continue..........

They're all right... sound pollution is nothing to take lightly specially while at stoplights you don't know peoples medical history who might be stopped beside you. i don't know if this is true but a local shop told me that an elderly gentleman had died while at an intersection because his heart stopped due to bass notes from some punk kid in the car beside him. even if it's a lie it is still harmfull to peoples hearing specially for toddlers and the elderly. Keep it in your car. $50 is nothing i got a $250 ticket for my exhaust while at idle cause the officer said it was too loud. I fought the ticket and they dbl checked it at 50 feet at smog ref in the area and it was bellow the legal limit. to make a long story short if you make others quality of life uncomfortable your local police/sheriff agency will be more than happy to make yours worse....... Sound fines should only go out in certain situations.

Like said before, going 60mph and having your music blasting is fine. If you're at a stoplight, turn it down.

However, I took my subs out because I sold my amp, and my shitty speakers can still be heard from over 50ft, just not at a subsonic frequency. Either way though, like I said, tickets should only go out in certain situations.

totally agree. i use to work the midnight shift and sleep during those hours and of course my dumbass neighbor would have his sytem going in his driveway to impress his little high school buddies. what's funny is his sytem got stolen twice and mine has never been stolen. i guess he hasn't learned yet to turn down his system.

Yes, very well said Steve and Exploder... he is pretty stupid, I have not yet to have a ticket... even though I only have 2 12's and a small amp, i can still "bump" quite a bit, enough to make the images in the rear view mirror move 2 inches..... I mean I have a RF Punch 150S amp, that is pretty **** small to move it like that!!

Well, I just like seeing half the retards that ride around with their 'systems' all loud at redlights looking around to see if anyone notices them. I mean seriously.. they just do it for attention. I have bass cause I like it to my ear personally. I don't have my setup just for everyone else so I can be cool.

I love the sound of bass also, but when I pull up to the stoplight, I hit the ATT button on my remote.... and when I leave, I hit it again... and its the folks who want to be seen, as Graphic and ThugLord said who **** everyone up!!! to us (the people who keep their "system" from disturbing the peace) its all BS, just like someone throwing something at a teacher, (or w/e) and no one "fesses" up to it and everyone gets in trouble....
