Then his install is horrible. I have a rockford 700's pounding some mtx thunder 6000's and recently my left sub blew so i ordered two 8000,s that im gonna bridge at 4 ohms mono im about to show u how this amp doesnt blow lol ; )

no, his install is not horrible-it was done by me-and i'm no newb- matter a fact its mint and hes running 1/0 gauge and big 3-every connection is solid- this setup ran fine for 3 months w/ no changes -The amp was just defective, i've never had an amp blow smoke the way that focker did, the only fuses blown were the ones

for that one(internally and off the distro block)

That series of rockford doesnt run at 1 gauge. I think he ****ed up with that 1 gauge shit. Gotta be 4 gauge. Only the t1000 and up can run at 1 gauge. And those mtx arent horrible bro. BTW, i owned 2 mtx 6000 10's that i bought for giggles for $39 a piece in circuit city years ago during x-mas sales- i tell it how it is, they're crap- they didn't deserve the zr360 i had on them

Yeah true 1 gauge i forgot. I dont know what happend then with that amp maybe it just hated the subs lol. Well i use the older rockford model the black one. Well i guess people have different opinions for subs. I like these but i just upgraded to the 8000's so im gonna give them a try.

dunno how the 7/8 series are but should be an improvement.....I hope you dont feel i came down on you too bad, they werent that bad.......actually yeah they were....hehe

You are right man, its all about personal opinion on them- they sound good to you its all that matters- the person i sold them too happens to love them-just not my style

LOL the 8000's are the older ones that are competition subs. They were the highest ones in the mtx website. Before they came out with the 9500 series. But still the best subs their are the mtx RFL's that are 4000 watts peak, that are not even in those categories. It also depends what amp your using. You need a good amp what do u currently have as ur system?

Of course they wont sound good those are stricly spl subs. They hit hard and smooth its a mix but mostly hard u cant be in the car if the bass is all the way up

i know im almost debateing on getting a single 12" 8500 lol but that sucker would be hard to squeeze in to where i wanna put it i could do a 10.... btw how did the ss amp turn out? if it dont work now ill almost bet the outputs got cooked unless the amps protection saved it...

Yup the new ones are good.
