what are you bridging it to? remember the load must be 4 ohms mono

ummm what are you running speaker wise? how is it wired? series parallele? what?

wired up the brahma in series to net 4ohms. +1 -1 +2 -2

the +1 with the -2 was how the amp said to be bridged. so i hooked up a piece of 10ga wire 3 inches in length, to them, and the -1 with the +2 was the wires for the brahma. i checked the load on the speakers and it was around 4ohms. turned on the car, and then i got short circuit protect on. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

+1 off the amp too +1 on the sub -2 off the amp to -2 off the amp should do it i have no idea where or why you added the other wire if you jumped it like im understandind thats where your short is again if im pictureing this correctly. -1 and +2 on the amp should be empty. the sub should only have 1 jumper on it going from -1 to positive 2. hope this helps if not let me know ill even give you my number to try and help

so where it says bridge, that means i just have to connnect that to the sub it self? and it does have 2 power inputs 2 12v, 2 GND, and 2 REM i'm guessing i need to power both?

no you dont hook up both. i have the amp you only use one and the other is to run another amp off of.

i thought you would have gotten my PM by now. I actually spoke with a SS Rep. Are you wondering why your system isn't bangin? Well that's because you are supposed to hook up both of those power inputs. I thought they were to connect to another amp as well, but your thread lead me to believe differently. then I took it upon myself to contact Soundstream. If one was an output then yeah, but they are both inputs, they both need to be utilized!!!!!!

Hook it up!!!!

no you dont hook up both. i have the amp you only use one and the other is to run another amp off of.

if it were for that it would be clearly marked for if it wasnt you would toast it aslso real easy to test with a voltmeter hook up one side and if the other didnt provide output of 12v + you would have your answer

ok i have the amp hooked up and i i tested it and its putting out 80 amps (1600 watts @4ohm) i called ss they said only use 1. you cant use both for input i promise. the reason they both say input is because when you use the 2nd pair you run it to another amp and you ground the 2nd amp to the vga1600 makeing it an input. ill take pics of mine hooked up if you want. so the email is wrong.

And your saying your system is still not loud? Something must be wrong, no? For 1600 watts into an XXX and not pound?

How can any of thse 2 amps be a " trend ' How can these even pass rockford fosgates 1500 bd amps or the 3000 watt new one. I think rockford as of now has the best amps and is leading the market I mean just by how its built and the true RMS power they have makes them what they are today, "strong".

funny you say that- my brothers RF Power 8002 just went up in smoke yesterday- i would've agreed till yesterday, i see nothings changed- the worst part is he was running it 125rms x 2 @ 4ohms to some comps, not even pushing the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsdown.gif.d22f25895e9b40f2300c953691dacfa2.gif

Then his install is horrible. I have a rockford 700's pounding some mtx thunder 6000's and recently my left sub blew so i ordered two 8000,s that im gonna bridge at 4 ohms mono im about to show u how this amp doesnt blow lol ; )
