new build with mad alt. noise. WTF!?

Alternator whine.. I overkill with all my grounds, and my equipment is all new or "relatively new".. Let me paint a quick pic.. DB elect 200 amp alt- big 3 all cadence 1/0 awg.. Front batt=Optima d34 feeding rear batt (optima d34)with a single 1/0 awg pos and neg run front to back. Pioneer p9400bh H.U. feeding an Audiocontrol Four.1 e.q., feeding an A.C. 6xs active x-over with shielded stinger hpm3 rca's.. from there I got 3 amps. Sub amp =Orion hcca2500 running 1 RE-XXX 12" @1 ohm. Midbass is an Alpine pdx 2.150 running a 1 JL cw800.. Last is a Alpine pdx 4.150 running a set of B.A. pro50se components, and the other 2 channels i'm using to push some( kinda old), but solid jbl p652 in my overhead soundbar... The system is in a 90' Jeep wrangler and I not only followed the dual batt tutorial to the letter, but I also have my grounds BOLTED, and linked thru the chassis to the frame. HOW THE F**K do I POSSIBLY have alternator whine? I gotta go to bed before I kill 1 or all my neighbors, but I'd really appreciate any input guys. Thank you

Ya know, u might be right cuz I had a pioneer p7200 in my last systemn and I used that did trick, and it actually worked. I was really only hoping to attempt it again this time as a last resort. I just took the 9400 out of the box last weekend.. Is Pioneer really that ignorant? Thanks for the advice though bro

no pioneer isnt ,but if you did not disconnect the battery when you installed the deck then you may have popped the pico fuse in the deck.

As soon as I read your equipment, this was the problem I thought of. Save yourself alot of time and heartache, go ahead and ground the pioneer RCA, if that doesn't fix the problem then you know its something wrong but there is a 95% chance this is the source of the whine

No problem. My kenwood did the same exact thing 3 weeks after I got it. Grounded the rcas and it went away. I definitely regret getting rid of my alpine 9883 for a newer deck

yep, i looked for "pioneer hu". it's a design flaw. fine until you mess with RCA's when the HU is on.

A) Who the hell works on their system WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE f*****G NEG. on the batt? B) Though I STILL continue to use Pioneer Head Units How do you defend a company that's NOTORIOUS for poor RCA grounds? C) If the pico fuse was blown NOTHING would work at all..it wouldn't just cause ingress noise!? D) TRY TO PAY ATTENTION IF YOU'RE GONNA OFFER AN OPINION MORON..

well from my understanding ,the pico fuse going bad or even being bad can also cause the alt noise.as far as calling me a moron ,better look in a mirror,you fvcking douche bag.so go fvck your self and i hope your whole system goes up in flames you azz hole

I also agree my alternator whines like a bish and I have a Pioneer DEH4200UB.

ive owned 3 pioneers and never had any whine, except when i hot swapped the rcas and pooofff pico.

The trick? open up the deck, drop a bead on solder across the pico fuses path. tada, its gone. after it popped, it still worked, just whined and sounded like garbage. jeez guys..

I know this but have been too lazy lol that's probably what happened to mine I hot swapped rca's.

Thank you for everyone that had a LOGICAL response. OBVIOUSLY Pioneer STILL has inherent problems with their RCA grounds. Ill start there first.
