Hey guys made a quick sketchup of a box thinking about building for 2 12" aq sdc2.5 wondering what you guys think about it

34inaero.jpg

Its about 5.17^ft after fiquring sub and displacemen subs and port displacement are .1 apiece and figured 3 4" ports about 14" long at another 1.2

should give me around 35hz just checking on your guys opinions or other suggestion.

THANKS

Box dimensions 41X21X14 WxDxH

Well, I would go with what you have going with those but I would try and up the port area to around 35 sq inches per sub but still keeping the 2ish cubic feet and the tuning that suits you.

Wow, haha...I just went back and saw that the ports were 2.5 x 12.5 (thought it was just 2 for some reason)....haha, yea that design with either port setup (the slot-ports) should be pretty good 31.25 isn't bad port area at all.

I like the first box, but I'm showing 18.47" each length for three 4" ports in

3.8cu' net. I would like to see those ports about 6" from the inner wall too.

That means the box would be like 27.5" deep. Also, I would figure the 2.5's

at about the same as an fi ssd 12" which is .14 each. That puts you at almost

19" port length on 3.74 net.

Your vent mach is a very good .02 with three 4" areos.

Edited first post on him

I got the box at 5.0 cubic feet net at 35hz with three 13.33" deep port tubes.

this is with no room for added bracing or anything. But that's the way the numbers

work out.

The box should have vertical bracing and a double baffle top.

To give you an idea, 4 strategically placed 2x4's 12.5" long each would

eat up .23 cubic feet and throw off all the displacement and tuning.
