need an idea for 18"RE SX

I got this monster of a sub 18"RE SX with a trade.I have a few 10's but never realy played with something this big.I'd like an idea on a ported box just to play with it for a little while before passing it own to someone else.I have a Kingcab truck so i think the size box i would need would be better in my wife's Armada.Any ideas on what i should do with it?

Do you have an amp or have one lined up for it?..or are you set on selling/trading it pretty quick?

I have one amp that is 1800@ 1ohm that i can use.

I'd like to play with it for a little while but its a little to much for me to keep.

I'm still offshore but my wife said you diid a great job on the packing and i had to see it so she took some pics and sent me,lol. I'll get a hands on look tomorrow.

How about i put this box together but make it a little taller for the sub to fit,would it affect the tune?

I had a RE SX 18" put it in a 6 cu. ft box tuned to 40hz.. Sounded just splendid!!!

Just a normal box, straight port like yours..on like 1000wrms...

It died tho when we put it in my friends truck on 2 MCD1000's strapped @ 0.5 ohm..

7@34 in the Armada, Sub up port back (mount the sub in the top piece not the front).

Edit:

If you do, double baffle the top and add verticle support.
