Power wire at amp connection looks a little suspect.like there isnt much of it connected to amp.if that isnt the problem,u need a better connection then that.and the power wire under the hood does not need to be resting against the negative batt terminal.i would also check the connections of the power wire at the fuse at the battery.it might not be getting a good connection after the batt was changed.

Or because the power wire is resting against neg batt terminal and i can see naked wire, might have been enough arc to fry your amp.only speculation
What i would do,get the power wire off the neg terminal and wrapped the power wire really well with some ezfuse tape from home depot or some electrical sticky mess tape.disconnect the power wire from batt and get that cut wire connection out and hook power wire back up with a solid connection and go from there.

Goodness, Im so bad with this stuff. I see all the areas of concern that you pointed out. Ima handle this tomorrow. that cut wire was from a previous alarm under my car for my cat-strap, someone was most gracious enough to steal my catalytic converter last year. alarm kept malfunctioning, pops cut the wire. thanka kindly though, ill be in touch more than likely

Live and learn.thats how you get experience.i would not turn your system back on until that power wire is taken care of.

I definitely learn by hands on, I just get nervous with electrical things! I went ahead and fixed the area of the power wire touching the neg battery, taped it real good and moved it up and away for the meantime. I can already tell a difference, I am still going to fine tune the wiring, the cut wire and where things are to get it as safe as possible. Thank you sooo much 🙏

Are you using a loc on the rear channels?
Again, I am a dork, if this is the loc (lolol), then this is the one under the hood. I need to double check, but the guy who installed this MAY have have put an additional one along the wiring between the rear to the front. Just need to remove some panels to see. I know he put one there along the base of my car frame interior (name? idk) on my old car, but not sure if he just put one or 2 for my new vehicle. He did this install in 104F heat, so I stayed indoors as much as possible 😅
