lol coming from the guy that has nothing to say cause he is clueless in the matter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif get those random people chiming in like dumbass's to try to fit in the crowd.

ur the person that people drag along because you will pay for people so u can try to fit in.

let me summerize

1. its not a musical sub. its an spl sub.

2. u can throw 5k down it burping without it really gettin warm.

3. there are no subs u can throw 5k down daily all the time so the rms is leaning towards burping not daily use.

4. i dont own these subs

5. TREO FTW!

was that verfied through RMS clamp and DMM for the entire test? that's alot of power for a battery bank to sustain...

IEC 268-5

you use a pink noise signal with a crest factor of 6 dB, filtered at 12 dB/octave below 40 Hz and above 5000 hz for 24 hours

EIA Standard RS-426A

white noise bandwidth limited from 40 Hz to 318 Hz with a six decibel crest factor, for 8 hours free air

or the more common one for large drivers...

EIA Standard RS-426 B

white noise bandwidth limited from 40 Hz to 1 kHz, with a three decibel per octave rolloff from 1 kHz to 10 kHz, and with a fast rolloff above 10 kHz and below 40 Hz, crest factor of 6db, free air, for 8 hours..

that's 3 ways to correctly spec RMS power handling of a loudspeaker..

Loyd L.
you calculate RMS this way...just becuase a sub can take 5k for burps doesn't mean it's rms is 5k
