somewhere in this massive thread i thought i remember someone saying you'd need to EQ out a few points to get a good response.

there's no reason I see that you would need an EQ

the response should be very smooth across it's bandwith

unless anamolies are introducted by the car enivronment there's no reason to have to EQ anything "out"

yes, we'll also take money orders, cashier's checks, personal checks (once cleared), and Credit cards probably... might only be Visa/Mastercard however

I don't know if this has been asked since I have not read but one page of this huge thread, but how would these beasts compare to the Koda 8s for midbass duty?

I will open a new one when the speaker arrives

the Koda 8" will have more bass obviously but have a good bit less output and it wouldn't like sealed

Well, I already have the Koda 8s here. And I plan to use them for midbass duty, from like 70hz up to 3xxhz. I'm only worried about output in this area between these two drivers. It looks like the Kodas will perform better, output wise. I wouldn't mind matching these 2 woofers together, except for the huge difference in efficiency:crap:

70 to 300hz-ish? I would hope the kodas would have a much larger band than that...

not only will I have dan's notes but I'll have Mark K's independent full FR and distortion tests right after I get it

I went ahead and attached the bookshelf design for ported

it's assuming 1/2" birch is used or 1/2" solid oak...

stuffed with .4 cubes of polyfill and with foam dampening on the rear wall
