Are these going to use the same basket as the extremis/XXX or maybe something like the Dayton RS?
what was this with/ with out the phase plug stuff? Do I have options?

it's using a custom steel frame but quite similar to the Extremis

the phase plug was something I was trying to decide if I wanted to pursue or not with the build and get it added... the benefits outweigh the negatives so I think we'll be having it on the production speaker... no there's no "choice" as far as remove the phase plug and adding a dust cap as I have no dust caps

prices Shipped should be around $66 or so to 48 US states

the price of $62 doesn't include this (again this might go down but I'll know by next week)

would these mate well with an Extremis or EU700 in a 3-way? Port the Extremis @ 30hz and bypass the sub completely for some towers.

it could sound good... but you'll need to level the midrange down a bit for obvious reasons

the Extremis is 84db/w and this is almost 10db/w more efficent than the extremis... however if you want the extremis as a Pure bass hog this will do well mating with it for 150hz area or lower (depending on preference).... just remember that you need either an active system or you'll need to do a bit of crossover work

Well, you said something about gold plated and such, so I just figured I'd ask. I'm going to stick with one set instead of the 2 sets I want. I gotta buy an 18 soon...

holy crap, count me in. i really need to get my **** alpine RUX-C701\PXA-H701 asap to test these suckers out against the CX62's i have currently.

i am only going to need about 1.2khz response, and i only have ~.2 cubes sealed, maybe. i gotta get an exact volume measurement on them.

you're start losing off axis a bit around 3.5khz with a 6.5"... the phase plug might extend this to 3.8-3.9... we'll have to see once it's tested

You're looking into scan-speak and seas excel territory there. But for 1/2 the price and not dealing with 8-ohms--count me in.

so you want just the tweeters and 2 6.5's without xovers?

the LPG's are $43 on madisound (25NFA) and I believe Ology's discount brings them to $37 or so for 2 quantity

I'm not sure... I think he only gets signifcant discounts on large quantities... and for more expensive items but it might be best to contact him via PM and ask this question

I would expect $210 or so without the xovers

the mid level component set uses the 25NFA

18db/oct Xovers bump up price a bit for that end... so if you don't need the xovers we can send you just the components
