Need some opinions

i have a 00 cherokee

so far i have bought 2 12" type r's a pioneer deh780 a brutus 1206 and a 1 farad cap with complete wire kit

i know i need a box and i was thinking sealed

also maybe some sound deadning ???

what am i overlooking?

I would go ported. type Rs dont like sealed too much. are they the 2005 models? what size wiring kit? I ask because i see you bought a cap which is not needed so I hope the wiring is atleast 4 guage.

it is a 1 gauge to the amp and 4 to the head unit i think

why is the cap not needed ?

i want to be able to play for a good hour atleast without the engine running

Caps hurt your electrical. Dont use it. U can, btu i wouldnt. Jsut get a nice battery. A battery IS a capacitor What happens is that your cap charges up, your bass hits, your cap sends current to your amp, then your batt/alt has to charge cap again, then bass hits, then cap...yada yada...its a patch on the electrical. Just grab a yellow top or a kinetik if in your budget.

Oh yeah, and if you want to play for long amounts of time without engine running,

Must have....

- A Mutlimeter....in case

- A GOOD battery

i was also thinking about the front speakers

there are none in the rear doors

and two above the hatch which would be useless

i dont really understand how the speakers work but i just want good treble and sound quality up front with bass poundin at the back

maybe somthing at the back?
