just bought a 1979 toyota corolla, still in good condition, just need a new paint...

2) i got a set of DLS Iridium 8.3, and Rainbow Germanium coming soon... so which will go into my RAV4 3-door and which will go into my 1979 corolla? or does an old car doesn't deserve highend speaker?

i mean for me i would not buy a car for say $1200 and then spend $3000 on sounds..UNLESS..my only purpose was to compete profesionaly and it was purly a spl burp machine..

I paid $300 for the car and about $900 on the sounds...maybe more. I don't see the purpose in spending any more than $6000 on any car, unless it was for resale. I just don't see the point.

yeah true... but don't you think it will be fun to see people's reaction when they first see the car, they will say something like "that's one crappy old car compared to my sporty car/car with bodykits" then invite them in let them hear the meaning of SQ that will beat their crappy sony/kenwood... yepz, we have quite a number of ppl who act that way...

If it's really just budget bodywork and a stereo, go with tractor paint instead of car paint. Works like a charm and is a lot cheaper, just color choices are more limited.

depend i think... i got some friends who own a subaru or a mitsubishi evo... they spend almost or more than the price of the car itself on bodykit, upgrading engine, upgrading turbo, etc etc etc... but i just can't understand why they buy sony or kenwood for their soundsystem...
