Need some help w/box...2nd try...

No replies to my last one. Guess I didn't ask the right ? or it was confusing, or what, anyways. Now I have a different plan:

Will be going in a 06 mustang cpe. I want it sealed, and I also want a front panel/baffle not sure what you call it. Example of a pic I found(which is also a 06 stang) is below, which is the idea I want except that I'm going to put the amp to the the left of speaker. I've seen alot of people do this but not sure if it's sealed or ported.

I talked to a guy who was an installer and he told me if I go sealed with a front panel like one pictured it will not perform the way I want it due to the fact that the sound waves will bounce back and forth and I won't here that smooth bass in the car. That it will just stay in trunk which will eventually start to rattle everything in time. He said I should port it with port facing up towards the rear deck.

I need help with box. I already made a front panel that contours the trunk from left to right. Sketch of it below:

I like to use it, but not sure how to a box that will work. I "don't" have to use it but I'd like to.

Need some help on this guys.

What I can work with: 30' X 11 X 14 ---->>This is that hump in the trunk(lol) that is behind the front panel if I were to use it. Hope that makes sense.

fire the port and sub into the trunk. don't worry about the cancellation you've been told about. it shouldn't be an issue unless you make an airtight seal around the baffle.

Yea, baffel is not even close to air tight. Still got bout 3-5 inches up to go b4 it touches the rear deck.

I would like the box sealed. Judging by your answer, it can be sealed or ported w/out the baffel affecting the sound as long as it's not air tight.

Just want to be sure that the baffel won't affect sound in car when using sealed.
