Currently in my 96 tacoma i have a alpine cda 9813 h/u running alpine sps-600c 6.5 2-way components, jl 300/4 running my pioneer premier 12". I was previously running my sub on a pioneer amp but got the 300/4 cheap with some jl XR650-CXi. What i was thinking was to run the sub and the jl xr's off the 300/4, replacing the alpine 6.5 midsub with the jls and run the alpine tweeters off the h/u. or get a some kick panels. I ran into a problem with the crossover that came with the jl speakers, instead of the 2-way xr-650-CXi crossover it came with the 3-way crossover from the xr653-CS. Now if i hook these up they will have a drop in the mid range frequencies. should i get some 4" mid range speakers to hook up to the cross over, if so which ones would match or just forget the jls and hook the alpines up to the 300/4
