this is for a hifonics 2000wt brutus....right now i'm waiting on the sub to get here (hdc318), and the amp will be running at 1ohm, with 1 run of 1/0 wire......do i need to upgrade the electrical system....i was thinking of doing a big 3, and throwing something like a yellow top in the back, with the stock battery up front....will this work??

YES it will the big three is something I did and WOW works great I also have 2 yellow tops connected using an isolator, The thing is that i was under the impresion that with an isolator I could bump my car while its off for hours, its more like for 20 min tops.

Depends on the car. Your car's alternator has to be at least 180 amperes in order for it to not drain the batteries and be self-sufficient. Although, I'd suggest getting a YT or Batcap for the back.

well i think we're definitly gonna do the big 3...and depending on how well/ or not well this helps, we may through a yellow top in the back....does the wire from underhood battery to rear battery need a fuse...any certain way to do this??
