need some help guys with system problem

So I've looked around but not finding much. I just recently bought a kicker zx1000.1 amp (black aluminum top plate) and 2 kicker l7 12s in a double ported box. The box is 36x16x16. I have it in a 00 Audi Tt coupe and just doesn't seem to be hitting hard at all. I also have a kicker 350.4 installed, head unit is pioneer p5000dvd flip out. Seems even at low volume its not hitting ( I thought maybe voltage problem) door speakers sound good till sub is.suppose to hit the they start to sound odd. Any help would be great, I.was thinking maybe a good cap and a box not ported?

no to the cap, box is probably fine.

first thing to check is polarity. ensure the subs are properly wired (remove both from the box to visually inspect all connections. describe here how you have them wired - and what impedance each driver/coil is. using speaker wire that is color coded is the best way to ensure you keep polarity consistent.

Ok I just took them out. Each terminal on amp says 2ohm. How are these suppose to be wired?

Yes there are 2 seperate terminals on the back of the box

what is the impedance of each coil (not amp). or is the above a typo and each terminal on the subs says 2ohm?

if you have two 2 ohm DVC subwoofers, and an amp that wants a 2 ohm mono load, wire like this:

I want on kicker.com and see the wiring they had And tried it. Seems much better but last night I installed a new kicker comp in my dads h3 for him in a sealed box and hits just ad hard as mine almost and tge amp is only 200.2 pb. Yes that was typo I meant it says 2 on each terminal on the sub. Would it hit better in a sealed box?
