Well I'm trying to help my friend out on an install he's doing for his truck. He's going with gear he got from Atomic as it was given to him for being the store owner and well he bought a lot of gear.

Anyway, now to the goods. He'll be running their Quantum 3-way setup with an additional 6.5" dedicated sub/midbass. He won't use the Quantum crossover as it's not built to the standards as wished. Anyway, I/him/we are looking for a 4-way crossover that'll get the job done. Can be active, passive or a combo of the two as in if you can say "use this x-over for the tweet and midrange, and this for the midbass/bass".

He'll be using a lot of power not sure yet but i'll find out as to how much tonight so they x-over needs to handle the power. Any help is appreciated as he has the speakers sitting at his shop but needs the crossover to finish the install. If help is given I'll get some pics of the final install.

For those curious full system is:

Kenwood XXV-01D

Quantum 3-way with additional mid

4 15" AP's

2 2200.1's for sub duty

Truck is an 03' Silverado extended cab bagged and on 22"s so I'll get pics soon. Thanks again for the help.

I would look to a combined active / passive system. Use a active crossover with bandpass abilities to separate into sub lowpass, midbass bandpass and midrange highpass. Use a passive 2 way crossover to separate between the midrange and top end. Audio Control is going to build a crossover that will be dedicated to this job and it is no stranger to the task either. Now you can apply the power you want from a large 2 channel (running 2 ohm stereo) to the dedicated midbass drivers to try and keep up with the a$$ end being so powerful or consider a large 4 channel for the same application. (the new Eclipse XA4000 class D full range amp has a good ampount of power, is screamingly efficient and sounds great). A good large 2 channel can be used on the mid / high combination to round out what is missing.

he'll prolly have 2-3 amps on the componets. it's an atomic sponsored vehicle so he's using those amps. any links/info on that AC unit you were talking about?
