Need RCA cables with low profile plugs...

I just installed a Kenwood KDC-X693 head unit and it has its RCA plug connections built directly into the back of the head unit. Here's a pic of the X693:

My prior head unit had its RCA plugs on a pigtail connector, which worked fine, but I'm running into some vehicle mounting depth issues with the X693 once I plug in the RCA plugs. I've currently got some spacers installed to give the head unit a little more depth, but that isn't ideal.

What I need are some low profile RCA plugs. Actually, just plugs would be fine and I would terminate them myself and that way I wouldn't have to pull my wiring to install entirely new cables. But I'm open to new cables as well if that's the way I have to go. Looking for something decent hopefully for less than $30 per 15 foot cable. Got any brand/model recommendations?

Thanks.

90 degree cables are probably your best bet in terms of cost
I considered that, but to avoid hitting the chassis they would have to sit vertical & pointing downward, then the 6 RCA female jacks would interfere/block each other since they are close together. i.e. if you put 90 degree plugs into the top set of RCAs, it would most likely be in the way of the other 2 pair of RCA jacks.

Any other ideas?

I actually had the same problem as you.. and even tried the 90 degree rca's and ran into the same issue with the rca's interferring with one another. I know exactly what you are going through.

I went and got these from ebay and they work perfectly. They are small and low profile so they fit just perfect and have plenty of room.

Monster XLN 300 series.. Do NOT get the 200 or 400 series as they have a much larger connector.

Just pick these up and you'll be good to go.

Good Luck!

Thanks much for the info! I normally don't support Monster Cable, but those seem to be just what I need, so I went ahead and ordered them. Thanks again.
