Need quick help on head unit install

I'm trying to finish up installing my new head unit and I can't figure out how to connect the antenna. HU is a Kenwood Excelon. Car is a 2003 PT Cruiser. Here's a pic of the plug for the antenna coming from the car...

The black plastic piece won't come off. That's why it's in the shape it's in now is from me trying. How the heck do I connect that to the HU?

Well, I finally did but I don't think it was supposed to come off. Is there somewhere I can buy a plug like most vehicles have on the antenna wire? I've never seen one like this.

Hmm how do I know if I need an antenna adapter? I am going to be installing a JVC Head Unit into my Accord on Thursday and want to have everything I need ready.

GM and Dodge vehicles need adapters...

Usually Fords do not.
