yea, but its worth it imo..
i bought a 42" sony lcd-projection 3 years ago w/ a 4 year plan @ bb
they've replaced the bulb, input board twice, and some thermal switch... 2 days after i bought it i snapped the hdmi port inside it, because i bought too short of a cord and tried to move the tv.
the plan covered it.... then 3 years later the tv kept saying it was overheating and when they fixed that they replaced my bulb for free, even though it didn't need it. All was done while i was sitting on my couch..
+ you can try to deal w/ the salesperson @ best buy.. When i got my tv they threw in a hdmi cord, the service plan, and a 1080i upconverting dvd player for the original asking price of the tv...
