need little assistance please

okay so i know im gonna get flamed here but i have researched and couldnt come up with a consistant answer,so here goes...got rid of my 12w7 and bought an 18"bl dual 1 ohm sub..have a alphasonik pma1000hca that can do 1 ohm load...dont want to screw anything up so whats the correct way to wire up the sub??

you have d1 sub and 1ohm is what your amp will do the most power at, 2ohms will be alot less power from the amp and i wouldnt runt it at .5 ohm

will impedence rise alow me to wire a dual 1 in parallel and still be okay..
