Mine do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif After they are nice and broken in they like alot more power.
hmmm maybe...i didnt have mine for long at all. but then again like 5 other members have told em the same thing

They don't really need more than rated power -- they are a 2" coil driver after all.

Regardless I can't think of any other 8s out there that will handle more power thermally -- the other "big boy" SPL eight (DD 1508) has almost exactly the same size coil.

they are very nice 8's...

Thinking about getting a pair, I'm not going to send more than 400 watts to each. Kinda hoping they holdup a little better than the e8s I've played with. I loved the e8 but I tried to get a little to much out of it and it didnt like it.

E8 had a very soft spider -- they meant it when they said 200-watts.

if youre trying to get loud then the e8 is probably not a great idea. I use them for a nice low fill. Spiders are waaay soft. I have my two SA-8s in 1.9 w/ 4" aero and with the right amp will do 140+. I think you get more out of them if you have them tuned up to around 35-38 although Im still playing around with them.

Well i had up to four e8s in a regular cab truck and it got loud for 8"s on about 1000 watts. Its the mechanical limits of the sub, not the coil, that I'm worried about. I think I had too much port area on the e8s, I had four in 2.4 cubes with a 6" port. I'll drop it down to about 800 watts in 1.6 cubes with a four inch port for two sa8's. May try tuning a little higher as well, I think I had the e8s at 30-32 hz. I'll probably do 35hz with the sa8. Please dont misunderstand the e8s are great little subs as long as they are used as intended.
