need ideas for replacement

i just blew my stock JBL 8" 37 watt subwoofer in the back of my 2001 toyota avalon with the JBL upgrade...i know ur prolly laughin at the 37 watt but i have 2 type r's in the trunk.

I blew the stock sub about a week ago and it makes this redic annoying tapping noise. Does anyone have any ideas for a replacement that will have a higher output?

or would it be better to cut the wire, and upgrade the interior component speakers or do both?

im open to almost any suggestions

why are you worried about that sub if you have two type r's in the trunk? I would tear that thing out, an enjoy the r's for what its worth.
