Featured Need Help with setup in my old 63 Chevy truck! There's a small prize for the best setup!

My recommendations:

NVX X series 6.5 components ($140)

DS18 240w RMS powered sub ($100)

2 ch in/out 200w rms @ 4ohm amp. Check dyno tests. (should be able to find one for $150 or less).
PRV QS400.4 it's 2 Ohm stable 4 ch but you can bridge it to 4 Ohm 2 ch. Couldn't find a dyno but people seemed happy with it. ($80)

HU with wireless android auto or wireless carplay. Makes navigating music much easier. Needs to have pre-amp/RCA outputs. As many eq bands as possible (13 would be a good target). ($150-300)

If you use an install kit with CCA cable (look at the end of the wires, silver color mixed in with the copper) size up. You'll still only be looking at probably 8g even with CCA. You're not looking to maximize your efficiency, just to get the power you need.

I'm not sponsored or anything btw. Totally DIY.

Have you sent dragon.breath the gift card yet. I like his recommendations and the design of the kick panels in his recommendations are super. It offers a lot of flexibility. You may even be able to mount some shallow mount woofers there, in addition to speakers. (The 2005 -2009 Mustangs had shallow mount door subwoofers in addition to upper door speakers.)

Life support on a semi-old thread.. ok... I'll play. Whichever you decide on coax or separates may be due to vehicle limitations and seem insurmountable. No matter how you skin the cat it goes back to build the best tuned substage you can and realize I say this only because it's like 70% of your music.
No joke and good luck!
