Need help wiring my amplifier and sub

I have just bought an amplifier and sub combo from my local classified ads. The sub is an MTX audio TNE212D SVC and the amp in a rockwood competition amp-5555. The person I bought from claims that it was hooked up and worked just fine but they have no idea how it was hooked up before. I was trying to get it wired up and working yesterday but i don't have much experience with 4 channel mosfets just monoblocks. No matter how i wire it up I either get little to no output or normal output with line signal mixed in. Anyone have any idea how I can wire this? Do I need to get a monoblock?

Here are some pics:

It's a total mismatch in terms of the ideal amp for a given sub.

The TNE212D is a box, right? Two subs - total impedance of 2 ohms?

That amp has what, a 30A fuse?

Maybe a pair of 20's?

You're looking at 200-300w rms at best.

The BEST option would be to get into the box and set them up so each pair of channels can be bridged for one sub -- that would get 100-150w per sub which should work ok.

In the pre-wired form the best you can do is just hook it up to one of the 4 channels which will get you a whopping 25-40w per sub.

You don't necessarily need a mono.

The POS rockwood would probably work ok if you can modify the box to run them independently.

The model number I have was the only identifier on the sub. I only have one sub though. I'm assuming it's that same one as in the dual enclosure just 1 instead of 2. If so it's rated at 200w rms at 4 ohms with a single voice coil. I'm going to get a monoblock eventually but I'm on a tight budget right now. Wanted to see if this will work for now.

Edit: The fuse is 30 amps

Yea, just use 2 channels of the amp -- bridge them.

That appears to be how it has been used recently, judging by all the screws that are missing. Two of the remaining three are located on the bridging terminals.

For the future -- if this amp keeps working -- use it as a front speaker amp - bridged. It should give you a good 100x2.

It's not a good amp, obviously, but it's more than adequate to run a good pair of fronts.
