Over the past few weeks I've been buying car stereo parts for my 2000 Ford Mustang and this weekend I will be installing it. I have
- 4 6x8 pioneer 40 Watt RMS, 240 Watt max, 4 ohm speakers
- 2 JL Audio 10" W6 subwoofers 300 RMS, 6 ohm
- Kenwood KAC 8404 600 Watt Max, 50 Watt RMS x 4 (4 ohms) (for my speakers)
- Kenwood KAC 8104D 1000 Watt Max, 300 RMS 4 ohm/1 chan
- 2 Jarad capacitor
- Alpine CDA-105
So far I've hit a few small snags, the reason I had to get a new system for my car was because my stock amplifier was draining my battery when it wasn't running. Something was wrong with the fuse so I decided to just buy a new system (the last few months I've been saving up for a new one anyways). I had one of my buddies look at my car and he says I'll have to re-wire my new speakers to my new amplifier and have my amplifier run to the head unit. Seeing as I'm a complete novice to this and I don't have enough money to have it professionally installed. I'm hoping someone can give me directions to doing this install on my own or a website that would help me. Also anything else I might need for my system?
