Need help! Amp selection new to car audio

Poke around the classifieds here or check your local craigslist. If you don't mind buying used you can do pretty well for a few hundred dollars. About the only tough thing is a box which is brutal expensive to ship so finding one local (or better, building yourself if you have access to some basic woodworking tools) would be ideal.

I'd say let him make the mistake guys. Every needs that 1st cr@ppy setup to learn that you get what you pay for.

OP if you are not ready to save up at least 400 dollars, you arent gonna get stuff that lasts for long or will hit that hard.

You cheap out on the subs never the amp, thats the most important part, quality power = quality sound and loudness.
