In an SUV, your gonna want subs up, port back. Exactly like my avatar. The port back subs up theory has been a proven method which works very well.

Yea that's what I actually want just new to box building. Everything I've read says thats the best option. I seen one that had a square port that was interchangeable thought that was cool but just trying to go simple right now

Music preference is rap, dubstep, rock. Like loud bass I know I won't be able to do hair tricks with the alpines but they'll work till I can afford some hds315's

you sound exactly like one of our other members brafferty. Exact same sub setup as you with similar power, same musical preferences. He was very satisfied with the type R setup he had with CSCstang building his box.

A little back story on the whole setup. Had 2 Memphis dvc 15's I got on a trade one had a bad vc sold them for 200. Found a guy with the 2 alpine swr-12d4 brand new $200 for both(said he bought them for a install and decided to go shallow mount an just wanted some of his money back). The amp is a alpine mrx-m240 that I bought with a small temporary box for $90 so about 60 if I sell the box when I build new one. So $260 in sub's and amp. Was planning on 2 sq hds315 but couldn't pass that deal up on the type r's

how the hell did you get MRX-m240 for 90 bucks thats a friggen steal for a legit 2k amp. Either way if you ever sell the type RS, you'll still have enough power to push the HDS315s if you buy D2s

Lol Yea I posted on local facebook group looking for a dual 12" box. Woke up couple days later and a friend tagged me in a post for a box and the amp for 125. Actually told the guy I didn't want the amp cuz I have a brx2000.1d [emoji23] [emoji23] but asked what it was an looked up specs and new there was no way I wasn't buying it assuming it worked. So bought both for $90

absolute steal bro. They go for around 250 used in moderate cosmetic condition. Amp is a beast compared to all the budget brands aka audiopipe/hifonics/belva/CAB etc..

Yea I didn't look up used prices before buying just specs. I was quite surprised when I seen price of used.

Push that box all the way back touching the rear seats.
