i got 2 15in. l7's and im gettin a new motor put in my car this week so i figured i try a new box but i wanna see how big of a difference there is if i design one or if a pro does lol.
these are not the new model l7's they are the 06 or 07 w/e.

I got a trailblazer and basically working with 45in. from left to right. id say about 30in. front to back. and height really shouldnt be an issue. box i got right now is 16 3/4in. height wise and i got plenty of room to spare.

so basically ported. i listen to rap mainly. just looking to go louddddd

let me know your expierience / reps. ill pick one of ya..

and as far as cash goes through me a price, nothing ridiculous though

Just build a box and make it 45" wide, 16.75" tall, and 26" deep, and do a 2x4 from top to bottom to support the baffle. Then glass the inside of the box.

Put 3 6" flared ports in it, facing back. Make them 17" long. Thats 8.5 cubes tuned to 34.8hz.

While it will "work", I particularly dont like the layout of the port. I am not going to go and crunch any numbers on it but i would never aim a port opening at the cone of a sub when it is that close, especially since it can easily be built not to do so. Id also build that box with a center divider. That bottom board and the port baffle will be very flimsy with no brace.

I wouldn't use the first design without a divider in the port either.

well i have started on the design that was posted, really taking my time on this because all my other boxes have been ghetto and made in 2 hours lol. but yeah i only got the bottom and both side pieces cut out so far, not much yet. pics later if i go for a smoke

edit pics...crappy cell phone ones but yeaaa

what i was workin with... yeah it was one of them done in 2 hour boxes lol. glue and alot screws and silicone

new box so far, according to the design. cuts came out very clean and sit perfectly even

thats not even glued yet , takin my timeeee
