I am no car audio whiz, I have not tried a sundown or many brands out there that is why I am asking, how much power do you think the sae-1000 actually puts out at 1 ohm then?

that answers my questions. I have been dealing with SSA lately also, they are very good people to work with. I just can't decide on an amp.. I am willing to spend about $300 on one.

People may think I am dumb for asking this but is the rockford punch 1000d under rated or not? Which is the better amp for the money, I can get the sae-1000 and the p1000 for the same price brand new.

I did not get a price on it. They are never open when I get home, my wife goes to college and works every day and is pregnant so I can't ask much more of her, she does home work afer work till about 4am, she is still doing some now..

Why is the sundown hands down a better amp then the rf by the way? I am not new to car audio exactly, I just have a lot to learn.

Probably at 14.4 volts to though right?? The Sundown was at 12.8 volts so at 14.4 it's probable at least a couple hundred more watts than the 1100 or whatever it was rated at.

I don't know if I believe that with 2 more volts that it will go up a couple hundred watts..

Check out the specs on say a MTX 801d. http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/archive/2004amps/thunder801D.cfm

Only makes 500 watts at 12.5V but makes 800 at 14.4 so your right it probably wont go up a couple hundred more like a few hundred.
